There is a latest firmware upgrade available for users in India. This latest upgrade to firmware version 40.0.005 has brought kinetic scrolling to this device. Apart from this you also have widgetized screen like Nokia 5530 and other variants. There is an overall improvement in touch response and stability of the phone. There are some changes to menu icons and keypad related features also.
However, this upgrade is not available for all the Nokia 5800 phones in India. Check the product code of your phone at the back panel of the phone under the battery. If your phone code falls between

0559961: APAC2 India BLUE
0559673: APAC2 India RED
then you can update your phone's firmware using the Nokia Software Updater.

There are several tools available that allow you to change your product code but it is of no use as even after changing the product code of your phone the Nokia Software Updater will keep showing "No Updates".
